possible regulation changes for 2012 RallyCross saison

The rumors about a 8 car final grid for the upcoming 2012 European Championship is already implanted in the RallyCross Managing software. As usual the system is an easy to use platform.

In the final grid manager there is the possibilty for 3 different grid formats, a 2-2-2 grid, a 2-2-2 staggered grid and the 3-2-3 startgrid. Even the grids can be expanded to 2-2-2-2-etc grid and 3-2-3-2-etc grid.

Wireless timingscreens for rallycross circuits - Friday, april 16, 2010
Last year Rallycross Timing tested a new system to provide the results wireless to the rallycross drivers. At the last race at he Eurocircuit Valkenswaard the drivers could log in to a wireless network. On opening internet explorer they were redirected to the local website of Rallycross Timing.

The service provided included a screen for laptimes of the race to run. During the race the drivers were not able to see their laptimes. In order to solve the problem there were 2 additional screens. One for an overview of the laptimes of heat 1 to 3 per class. The screens shows every class for several seconds and moves on to the next class. The second screen made it possible to downlaod the results.

If you want an overview of the results, look at our renewed results section on this webpage.
Drivers possitive about wireless timescreens - Sunday, august 9, 2009

During the EC round of the Belgian circuit "the Duivelsberg" at Maasmechelen, RallyCrossTiming tested the wireless timescreens before the European Drivers. The first introduction of the timescreens in the EC rounds was received very possitive. The drivers came to ask if it was possible to put them on the screens also. "This is a big step forward and can put Rallycross on a bigger level" said Kenneth Hansen. Also Sverre Isachsen was very positive although he would like to see the results more in detail and not only for the moment that the heat was on.

Late sunday afternoon the crew of RallyCrossTiming had a version ready to show to the drivers at which they could see the three total times driven in the heats.

The next step will be to put all results online so the drivers can download it to their own laptop. This version is already programmed in the last couple of days.

In the next race at the Eurocircuit in Valkenswaard this version will be put to the test. If you are interested in what you could see during a race follow this
link. Don't be shy to let us know what you think about it. Only then we can make the service more perfect.
